An Eight-Week Creative Workshop Series:

In this series of workshops, you will explore the fundamentals of artistic expression. You’ll learn to view the world through an artist’s eyes and discover the subjects that inspire you.

What elements contribute to the composition of an artwork, and how do we navigate the creative process? We’ll study perspective and how to translate the three-dimensional world onto a two-dimensional surface, like paper or canvas. You will experience the entire creative journey, from initial sketches to detailed paintings.

We’ll delve into colour mixing, understanding colour contrasts, and how colours change in light and shadow.

Over the course of eight Friday afternoons, you’ll gain an overview of the diverse forms of artistic expression, covering a wide range of techniques, including pencil, charcoal, and pastel drawing, as well as gouache, acrylic, oil, and watercolor painting.

You will develop your artistic sense and discover the type of creative expression that resonates with you.

No prior artistic experience is required. All materials are provided. This workshop is for adults only, and registration is mandatory.

The class is conducted in both English and French.
