Changes to the class schedule for Märta's group:

Starting in December, our Friday afternoon class will become a regular "All Techniques" session, allowing students to explore a range of artistic methods and materials each week. Whether you’re interested in acrylics, pastels, watercolors, or mixed media, this class will provide the freedom to experiment and refine your skills under expert guidance.

Please note that the Monday "All Techniques" class will be discontinued, so all "All Techniques" enthusiasts can join us on Fridays from December onward.

In addition, we’re wrapping up our Foundation Course in "Basics of Drawing and Painting" with two final sessions:
- Friday, November 15 – Introduction to Watercolors
- Friday, November 22 – Introduction to Oil Painting

Don’t miss these last opportunities to dive into the essentials of these two beautiful mediums!

We look forward to seeing you in class as we continue to create and learn together.

On 20 June, Le Hangar – Centre des Arts held the first Broc'Art event at the beautiful Moulin d'Opio. The day brought together artists, volunteers and visitors in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, celebrating creativity in one of the region's most charming settings.

Although attendance was more modest than we had hoped, several artworks found new homes, raising €290 for the association. The primary aim of the day was to introduce our association to the local community, particularly to French-speaking residents of the region. Beyond the opportunity to meet visitors, exchange ideas and sell artwork, we were also delighted to receive the support of Crédit Agricole, whose sponsorship grant will help us continue our activities and strengthen our presence within the local cultural community. We extend our sincere thanks for their valued support.

A Great Team Effort Despite the Heat

The exceptionally hot weather undoubtedly discouraged some visitors, but it certainly didn't dampen the enthusiasm of our members. We'd like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who spent the day painting outdoors, helping to create a lively and engaging atmosphere for visitors. Their dedication played a major part in making the event a success.

The children's art activity, organised at the request of the Moulin d'Opio, attracted just one young participant towards the end of the day. Given the intense heat and the time of year, this was perhaps not surprising, but it has given us useful ideas for planning future events.

Quality Makes the Difference

One valuable lesson from this first Broc'Art was the importance of showcasing artwork that truly reflects the quality and talent within our association. Significantly, every piece that was sold was a high-quality work, confirming that visitors are drawn to original, well-presented art.

Events such as Broc'Art are about more than simply selling paintings. They help introduce new audiences to our artists while raising funds to support Le Hangar's activities throughout the year. We would like to warmly thank the members who entrusted us with their finest work and embraced the spirit of supporting the association as a whole.

Looking Ahead

By every measure, this inaugural Broc'Art was a successful event. It enabled us to forge a valuable new partnership with Crédit Agricole while providing invaluable experience for future editions.

We hope Broc'Art will become an annual fixture in our calendar. With more time for planning, an earlier date in the season—May would probably be ideal—and another wonderful selection of artwork from our members, we are confident the event can grow into an even greater success.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all the artists, volunteers, visitors and partners who helped make this first Broc'Art such an enjoyable and memorable day.

We look forward to seeing you again next year!
